From my Jim Henson's Return to Labyrinth-based fanfic (wip), on which this photomanip is loosely based:

From Chapter VI: Hallucination

He turned his head slightly to the right, noticing for the first time the person sitting in the armchair near the sofa on which he sat. She was close enough to share the same end table with him. A lovely girl—he could tell even with the mask of white feathers covering half of her face—with golden skin and golden hair, dressed in a full-length white gown with a modest neckline. Freckles dusted her cheeks and nose; the darkest freckle was in between and to the left of her nose, above the Cupid’s bow shape of her upper lip. She wore no jewelry and her feet were bare. Her hands were folded palms-up in her lap. He noticed her angel’s wings peeking out from over her shoulders. She wore a garland of tiny sparkling stars around her head as a halo. The candelabra hanging from the ceiling above her made a spotlight that shone on her expressionless face. Tiny particles of glitter danced downward in the shaft of light, then became part of her skin, her hair, her dress, as they fell on her and disappeared. Startling green eyes, shaped like a cat’s eyes, gazed piercingly, trancelike, out at him from behind the mask. She did not blink; she did not move.

Embarrassed that he had been caught staring and unnerved by the angel’s stare, he turned to his left, where, in an identical armchair opposite the angel, sat a strikingly beautiful woman in a black halter gown with fanned-open pleats along the plunging décolleté neckline. Her face was turned away from him and she was speaking with someone he could not see, but he noticed her perfect, pale skin, her long, elegant neck, and the large red tiger lily tucked into her glorious hair, which was off her shoulders in an elegant twist, and of the richest, darkest brown. Her arms were draped regally, yet effortlessly, over her chair’s armrests. She wore an impressive, sparkling diamond and wedding band on her left ring finger. Around her neck she wore a chain of large, faceted blood-red garnets set in white gold. The largest of the garnets glinted in the candlelight and rested in the partially exposed cleft where her breasts pressed together, the area that pleased him most to admire. His eyes registered movement and he quickly glanced up and there he was, looking into those same almond-shaped green eyes. And the same freckle above her lip. She was maskless. She parted her red lips and smiled at him in recognition.

My wife, he thought. My queen.

I'm teaching myself how to use Photoshop and this is the second photomanip I have ever attempted in the history of the world (the first was Return to Labyrinth 1). So, if I got carried away on the smudge tool (ahem)—the existence of which I only just discovered yesterday evening—you will understand why.

And now here's the part where I admit to you just what a gargantuan dork I am: This is a scene inspired by the dream sequence in a piece of fanfiction I am working on (well, working on, making into a fan novel, po-tay-to, po-tah-to), which is based on Tokyopop's Jim Henson's Return to Labyrinth Manga series (written by Jake T. Forbes).
